Donations are needed to maintain a full time Chaplain at Westmoreland County Prison. They are also used for Bibles, institution approved eye glasses, religious reading materials, Bible study materials, institution approved communion elements.
Servants of God can be used in numerous areas of this growing ministry. We need preachers and teachers of the Word.
A group of volunteers on the outside will be able to minister this program to those who want to maintain their relationship in Christ and are in need of structure and guidance.
More than 90% of the incarcerated will be released back to the community. Churches and mature Christians are needed to mentor and support these individuals (and hopefully their families) in their new walk.
The power of prayer has kept this ministry going for 13 years. We need dedicated volunteers to pray for this ministry, the inmates, the families affected by their incarceration and the Power of God's word that can transform lives.
We have a safe and secure way to correspond with the incarcerated. Some of the county inmates are sentenced to longer terms at a State facility. Our program includes letter writing, Bible Studies, and sending greeting cards.
We have the opportunity to share Bible Studies that can be mailed to the inmate. The studies need graded and commented and sent back to the inmate.
