Carpenter's Builders, Inc.

Bringing Comfort and Healing to the Lives of the Incarcerated & their Families.

Carpenter's Builders, Inc., is a local Christian 501 ©3 nonprofit organization committed to helping at-risk individuals develop life skills, trade skills, and self-esteem to enable them to be productive members of society. Adults with neither employment skills nor self-esteem often resort to illegal activities to meet their needs. Those who end up in prison are usually doomed to return unless they are given the tools they need to be self-sufficient.

In 1997, Chaplain Jim Badamo felt the God calling him to help those who were destined for or could not break the cycle of incarceration. Recognizing the challenges these individuals faced and the skills they lacked, Jim, with God's guidance, developed a unique work-release program where participants would both learn and earn on construction jobs. Graduates would have the tools they needed to be self-sufficient.

As a Christian organization, CBI works to plant the Word of God into the minds and hearts of individuals no matter what their economic background.

CBI directly supports the Chaplaincy at Westmoreland County Prison with donations being used to support the Chaplain, purchase religious materials such as Bibles and Communion elements, reading glasses, greeting cards, and program supplies.

Chaplain Jim is available to speak at your church, church groups and other group gatherings, and provide tours of the prison.
